new Six Degrees digital 12" releases Six Degrees is excited to announce the the first three releases in our new "Digital 12" series. As you can see from this batch of music, these releases will focus on the best in "DJ-Centric" music with remixes by some of today's best producers from around the world, both established and "up and coming".  First up is a tasty package of mixes from Jef Stott. Jef has been on the global music scene for over a decade, helping to found the bands Stellamara and Lumin and producing records by the Tunisian-born MC RAI and the Persian fusion group Somma, among others. Jef's debut full length for Six Degrees Records, Saracen is a completely unique mix of middle eastern and balkan music with electronic textures. On this special "Digital 12"", two of Stott's most dance-floor friendly tracks are taken into new sonic terrain by the always reliably great Nickodemus and Asian/ Electro newcomer David Starfire. Nickodemus ups the tempo on "Sono" and turns it into pure Gypsy/Balkan club bliss- while Starfire brings out the darker, bass heavy strains in "Faqir", slipping in some "dance-hall" grooves for good measure. Bombay Dub Orchestra serve up an irresistible "taster" of their soon to be released 3 Cities CD with the Indo/Electro dance-floor monster "Monsoon Malabar".
